Hello CVCS Community,
We would like to announce our Summer Driver Education opportunity, and begin signing students up for the course. If your child is interested, they should report to the Main Office in the MHS with their Driver's Permit or Driver's License. This year we are able to support one Driver Education session from July 26th - August 23rd. Students who sign up for Driver Education must commit to be present at all classes as they must meet the hourly requirement for passing the course - both the classroom and driving portion. The district covers the cost of the class. There are 16 open spots for the class, which are on a first come, first serve basis. Driving time can vary throughout the day, while classroom time is generally earlier in the morning. Please don't hesitate to reach out to the Main Office at the MHS with any questions (716) 962-8581.

This morning we ushered our Senior Class off on their Senior Trip to Toronto, Ont. This class is a special one, and we hope they enjoy their time with friends! While they’re there, they will be catching a Blue Jays game, viewing the many sights of Toronto, and spending some time at Canada’s Wonderland. Have the best time! 🎓🚍⚾

At last month's History Club meeting, members learned about the history of Jazz music from Angelica Mullen and Katie Pattison. For a community service the students created cards for Teacher Appreciation Week by writing short messages, thanking our amazing teachers for all they do. Each card was delivered to their mailboxes with a small treat!

A special thanks for our nurses, Sam Smith, Jacquie Anderson, and Lynda DeGolier on School Nurse Day!

Spanish teachers, Mrs. Orbaker and Mrs. Avila, took a group of students from Spanish 3 and JCC Spanish 2520 to Jamestown Community College to meet four international students that currently attend JCC. These students were from Italy, Canada, South Africa and Ivory Coast. Students were able to gain first hand knowledge on how life is similar and different for them as international students, what they considered to be culture shock and how they were adjusting to some of the major differences. A representative from JCC discussed international programs and travel abroad opportunities that are currently being offered. Students enjoyed gaining firsthand knowledge regarding these students and their countries of origin. Students also had lunch at an authentic Mexican restaurant where they learned about their cuisine. A great time was had by all!
