This past Sunday, June 2nd, our 3rd -5th grade girls participated in the Girls on the Run celebratory 5k race in Buffalo. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment participants always remember! Each of our girls practiced hard each week leading up to the race and the coaches could not be more proud!
GIRLS ON THE RUN IS SO MUCH FUN!!!! GO GIRLS!!!!

We'd like to share a "Thank You" letter from our local libraries for your support in passing the sustainable funding proposition to keep our libraries open and serving the community!

Reminder about our Color Run this Saturday!
*Color Run shirts, for those that ordered, are in and will be sent to the classroom teachers between today and tomorrow to be sent home with the kids!!!
*If you were unable to order a shirt and would still like to participate we would love to have you, just wear a white shirt! Line up for the event is 9:45am at the middle high school track.
*Our course is a little different this year to maximize the color sprays! So we are asking participants to park in the front of the MHS, Admin office, or back by the fitness center to allow a clear path for runners on the pavement leading to the MHS track!
We are so looking forward to this event for our kiddos! Any questions feel free to call the health office at SES!

On Friday, 5/17, our Unified Basketball Team participated in a game against some of our local State Troopers. This game was held at the end of the school day in front of the rest of our student body.
Unified sports is dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences, proving that training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.
After taking on our Unified Team, the Troopers stuck around to take on a team of MHS faculty and staff.
Our Unified Team didn’t take it easy on the Trooper team, winning their game! Our faculty and staff didn’t fare as well, losing to a strong State Trooper bunch.
We would especially like to thank our local law enforcement, and specifically our NYSP, for taking the time out of their day to be here for our kids and for putting on a great game for our audience!

On May 18th, Key Club members volunteered at the Step up for Kids 5K at the Cassadaga Beach. The race was put on by the Child Advocacy Program of Chautauqua County. Pictured are Austin Gloss, Grant Zahm and Denza Fanera.

The CVCS Family Center's next event will be held on May 29th from 9:00-10:00am in room #115 (Please check in at the MHS office).

Hello CVCS Community,
We would like to announce our Summer Driver Education opportunity, and begin signing students up for the course. If your child is interested, they should report to the Main Office in the MHS with their Driver's Permit or Driver's License. This year we are able to support one Driver Education session from July 26th - August 23rd. Students who sign up for Driver Education must commit to be present at all classes as they must meet the hourly requirement for passing the course - both the classroom and driving portion. The district covers the cost of the class. There are 16 open spots for the class, which are on a first come, first serve basis. Driving time can vary throughout the day, while classroom time is generally earlier in the morning. Please don't hesitate to reach out to the Main Office at the MHS with any questions (716) 962-8581.

This morning we ushered our Senior Class off on their Senior Trip to Toronto, Ont. This class is a special one, and we hope they enjoy their time with friends! While they’re there, they will be catching a Blue Jays game, viewing the many sights of Toronto, and spending some time at Canada’s Wonderland. Have the best time! 🎓🚍⚾

Congratulations to Georgiana Knott for having her artwork selected as a finalist in the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. Her work will be on display in Congressman Nicholas Langworthy's office in Washington D.C. for a year!
