We asked them what they're most looking forward to in this new chapter — here’s what they had to say!
"I am excited to be back in the elementary building this year because I love the enthusiasm for learning in the elementary building. Watching a student's face light up when they learn something new is one of the best parts of being a teacher!" - Ms. Joslyn
"I am very excited to be working with the students and staff in the MHS! I look forward to inspiring a culture of reading, teaching digital literacy and research skills, and reinforcing problem-solving skills and creativity through hands-on STEAM projects." - Mrs. Anderson

We are proud of our educators who continually go above and beyond to ensure our students have every opportunity to grow and thrive. 💙❤️

I am most looking forward to teaching some new material that will push me to be the best teacher I can be, as well as spending an entire year learning and growing with my class.” #ValleyProud

Morgan Gumhalter was hired in the Spring of 2021. This upcoming school year, Ms. Gumhalter will be transitioning from Kindergarten to 6th grade ELA. When asked what she's most excited about in this new role, Ms. Gumhalter stated, "The thing I'm looking forward to the most is instilling a passion for literacy in my students. Reading has always been a big part of my life and I want the same for my students. I can’t wait to dive deep into literary elements and writing to forge creativity and love for all things literacy in each of my 6th graders. I want my students to know that both reading for knowledge and reading for pleasure are extremely important, and can take you places you’ve never seen before!"

As we gear up for an exciting school year ahead, we’re thrilled to introduce some new faces joining our team — and celebrate a few familiar ones stepping into new roles.
Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be spotlighting our newest hires as well as highlighting some internal shifts that reflect our continued commitment to growth, collaboration, and student success.
Change can bring questions, but it also brings opportunity — and we’re confident that these updates position us for a strong, united school year. Stay tuned to meet the people helping make this the best year yet!
With that being said, meet our newest high school Science/Chemistry teacher, Alison Hammond! Alison comes to The Valley with 13 years of experience as a Chemistry teacher and is super excited to not only be back in the classroom but to be here in Cassadaga Valley! Welcome, Alison! #ValleyProud!
