The Business math classes had the privilege of having CVCS alumni, Hunter Cleland, speak to them about his freshman year of college. The students had a question and answer panel where he fielded questions about the cost of books, working on campus, intramural sport participation, class syllabuses, weekend life, time management, costs, how to study, roommate experiences and college food. Hunter is a chemistry education major at the University of Buffalo. We were thankful he took the time out of his busy schedule to speak to our class. #ValleyProud

Hello CVCS Community. Late this morning a 911 call was placed in our MHS building due to a medical emergency that was taking place in the building. We want to emphasize that this medical circumstance only involved a single child. Everyone else in the building is safe and secure. and there was no disruption to classes. Thank you!

Come “Ring the Bell” at the Sinclairville Superette!
Every year the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign helps support families in need in our district and surrounding communities. This year the Red Kettle Campaign will begin on December 2nd at the Superette in Sinclairville, NY. The campaign goes for about 3 1/2 weeks and we're always looking for volunteers! The money that we raise stays in our community and is meant to help families that have endured some form of hardship. In the past, the funds have been used to help families that are going through loss, to buy groceries, eye glasses, gas cards, sneakers, and several other items of support. Our goal every year is to have at least 2-3 people a day “Ring the Bell”, but we would like to have even more this year! If you are interested in volunteering please contact Ryan Smith, Sinclairville Elementary School Social Worker, at 962-5195; ext. 2404 or email rsmith@cvcougars.org. Thank you so much for your support and let’s make this our best year yet!

Bill Carlson, CVCS graduate, community member and former board member and past president reached out to Superintendent Mangus to tell her what makes him proud about The Valley. He explained that as you get older, memories matter, and he has a lot of great ones when it comes to CVCS! From his roots as a student and president of the FFA to his teachers and board colleagues, he knows that Cassadaga makes him #ValleyProud! Thank you, Mr. Carlson!
Be sure to reach out to Mrs. Mangus to share your #ValleyProud! gratitude this month!

Yesterday, during their Social Studies classes, student in grades 6-12 participated in a Mock Election. The students learned different key aspects connected to the importance of voting (what a ballot looks like, what the Electoral College is, and discussions about elections). Each student received a sticker for voting. Don't forget to get out and vote today!

Eliana Katilus and Alexa Rullon performed in the NYSSMA Zone 1 Junior High Area All-State concert on Saturday. They were selected based on their auditions in May, and earned places in the mixed chorus and jazz ensemble. Congratulations to our Cougar musicians, we are proud of your hard work! ❤️💙
