The USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program is a program that Cassadaga Valley applies for each year through the New York State Child Nutrition Department. It allows us to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables which are sent to elementary classrooms every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. This is a great opportunity for our students to expand their experience with new food items and encourage healthy snacking. Students have had the opportunity to try many new things such as Jicama Sticks, Sugar Snap Peas, Papaya, Orblanco, Mango and Radishes!

Congratulations to Emiley Anderson for breaking 3 CVCS school records in girls basketball this season:
Number of 3 point shots recorded in a season - 64 (previous record 32)
Number of points scored in a season - 519 (previous record 437)
Number of points scored in a game - 41 (previous record 32)
Great job Emiley - we are all very proud of your accomplishments!!!

Javonte Hackett and Taylor Jones are showing off Birdhouse kits for bluebirds or Kingbirds. Gavin Davis, Keyamari Keys and Michael TenPas helped to build the houses, in Ms. Burns' class, which will be placed around the school and numbered for future bird counts and ID!

SES students in the news!! https://www.post-journal.com/news/local-news/2024/03/a-great-event/

Ms. Broadhead’s JCC Ceramics and JCC Graphic Design students recently spent the day at the Jamestown campus where they were able to tour all of the art classrooms and see what students were creating. While in the studio, they sat in on an animation class, saw what happens in college classrooms, and talked to college students about their projects. There was even a Cassadaga graduate in the class who shared his thoughts with the students! Students got to tour the whole campus and at the end of the trip, they took an amazing tour of the art gallery where they learned about the current art show, Finding the Words, which involves all artwork that has text in it.

Sinclairville Elementary School Important Dates and calendar changes coming up!! If you have questions please call the SES office.

Hello CVCS Middle/High School Families! Our lost and found in the cafeteria is quite full right now, and after winter sports and the cold months, we’d like to help get these items back to their homes. Please send your kids to the cafeteria to collect their things! Thank you in advance!

The High School Science Club recently held their monthly meeting and their topic of discussion was Health and Wellness and how to make better decisions with their choices of food and snacks. After our Food Services Director, Heidi Ottaway, surveyed them on what they liked and didn't like on the school menu, Mrs. Schrader made smoothies for all of the members to enjoy!
