If your child is unable to have a physical performed by their own Physician please note that our school physician, Dr. Kahn from Southern Tier Pediatrics, and/or his Physician Assistant Amy Beach PA/ Joanna Olson PA will be performing physical exams throughout the year  in the privacy of the health office with the school nurse present.  

This “free of charge” exam, performed by the CVCS school doctor (or one of his associates) is a brief and fairly routine one including: eyes, ears, throat, heart, lungs, and hernias.  If the school doctor finds your child to be healthy and without any apparent problems, that information will be put on your child’s school health record and you will not be contacted.  If, however, the doctor has any concerns, I will contact you immediately for possible follow up with your own family doctor. 

We would encourage a physical performed by your own family doctor and will accept it in place of the physical for Dr. Kahn at any time through the school year.
