Sinclairville Elementary School is currently in a shelter in place while our nursing staff and local EMT's attend to one child with a health concern. We have entered into a shelter in place just to keep others out of the hallway until the situation is resolved. We want to emphasize that this medical circumstance only involves a single child and the parents are fully aware of the incident. Everyone else in the building is safe and secure. It is important to note that during a shelter in place regular instruction continues in all of our classrooms. Thank you for your understanding.

Congratulations to Mya Cusimano, Katarina Pattison, Hannah Yonkers, Lauren Jasinksi, Madison Walter-Yoder, Monica Snyder, Elizabeth Hornburg and Kristin Wise! Their artwork was chosen for the High School Juried Art Exhibition; it will be on display at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University!

Key Clubbers delivered spring baskets full of handmade thank you cards and goodies to the cafeteria staff here at the middle/high school. We appreciate all you do, everyday!

Attention middle/high school families: earlier this morning our MHS building entered into a shelter in place to provide a student who was experiencing a minor medical issue a higher level of privacy. A shelter in place is just a period of time when students stay where they are and instruction goes on as it always does. An announcement was made to the entire building at that point indicating we were entering into a shelter in place for a medical situation. There was no safety or security concern at all. Had there been an emergency we certainly would have notified the school community. Using a shelter in place is a very simple way to keep everyone in place so that medical personnel can come and go more easily and not have to deal with student traffic in the hallway. This situation - with a single student - lasted approximately 30 minutes and then the shelter in place was lifted. Thank you for your understanding!

Due to inclement weather and poor driving conditions all after school activities are cancelled for today. However, the Fitness Center will remain open this evening.

An important part of school district operation is to have community members serve as volunteers on the Board of Education. School Board members at Cassadaga Valley serve five year terms and are selected during the school board election in the yearly school budget vote and board election in May. This year’s School Budget vote and school board election will take place May 16, 2023.
If you are considering service to your school district and would like to run for the Board of Education you must file an official petition signed by at least 25 qualified district voters (or 2% of the number of voters in the previous election, whichever is greater) with the district office by April 17, 2023. Interested candidates can pick up a petition in the District Office during regular business hours or by visiting our website.
For more information on the budget vote and board election, including how to run for the board please follow this link: https://www.cvcougars.org/page/budget-vote-and-board-election
