This week, our JCC Ceramics and Advanced Ceramics classes visited Jamestown Community College for an enriching experience. They started with a lively tour of the art facilities, engaging with current art students about their experiences. After exploring the campus, they enjoyed lunch while connecting with non-art students, who shared their insights on campus life. The students then enjoyed a visit to the Weeks Gallery, where they viewed the Student Art Show. The day concluded with a visit to the ceramics studio, where they met Professor Elliott Hong. Students were enthralled by a live throwing demonstration, gaining insight into both the craft and the professor's inspiring background in Vietnam. Each moment was filled with learning and inspiration.

🌿 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🌿 This month is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and wellness, reducing stigma, and showing support for the millions of people affected by mental illness. It's a time to educate, advocate for better policies, and open up the conversation around mental health—because mental health is just as important as physical health. Throughout May, we'll be sharing helpful resources, information, stories, and ways you can get involved. Let’s work together to create a more compassionate, informed, and supportive community. 💚#MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #EndTheStigma #YouAreNotAlone
