For the 1st time in 6 years there was a tie for 1st place! The Cassadaga Valley Unified Bowling Team got 1st place in Division M at the Section VI Unified Bowling culmination event at AMF Airport Lanes!
Caleb Gierlinger lead the team with a 91-123-100-314 series, Dominic Mazzone bowled a 102-87-189, while Matthew Huch received the Character Athlete award and Sureniety Suppa received the Sportsmanship Award!

Our CVCS 5th and 6th graders played in the Chautauqua county youth basketball league this year and they ended the season hosting its end of the year tournament this Saturday! CV made it to the semi-final round before losing to the champions of the tournament, the Fredonia Hillbillies. Great job, Cougars!

The High School Science/STEM Club had a lot of fun at their February meeting learning about soap molecules, bubble formation, hydrophilic and hydrophobic ends. Besides adding soap, they added sugar and watched the bubbles' properties change. Then they made 3D structures with toothpicks and marshmallows and dipped them into soapy water. At the conclusion of their meeting, math teacher Mr. Beichner came to inform the students of the courses he teaches that would be great for a savvy science student. They learned about the robotics and drone classes that he instructs as well as what is involved in going to STEM Wars. If these classes sound interesting to you, then visit the guidance office to enroll!

Hadestown tells the story of young Orpheus and Eurydice whose love is tested by the underworld. The musical is a modern retelling of the Ancient Greek myth, with a New Orleans/funk vibe. It is very exciting to be able to produce a musical that is till on Broadway and touring! Many drama club students saw a touring production in 2023 and are very excited to bring it to the Valley! The Key Club held their February monthly meeting in the cafeteria where over 25 students put together Valentine goodie bags for each member of our transportation staff. The club also wrote out Valentine cards for them! Four Key Clubbers then headed over to the bus garage to personally make the delivery 💞
