    Middle School---Grades 6-8

    6th grade

     

    Color Coding for the folders:  ELA-Orange, Math-Red, Science-Green, Social Studies-Blue

     

    For all classes- 1 box of tissues, pencils, several good erasers (pink pearl), wide ruled 3-ring notebook paper, scissors (7 inch size are best), crayons (small box), colored pencils, highlighters, pencil case, ear buds, 3 ring pencil pouch

     

    English- folder (2 pocket, orange), colored pencils, sticky notes

     

    Social Studies- 3 ring binder (1 inch), composition notebook (journal), colored pencils

     

    Math- 3-ring binder (red, 1 inch), folder (2 pocket, red), hole reinforcement labels (1 pkg.), pack of clear sheet protectors-25 ct. minimum, pack of dividers for 3 ring binder

     

    Science- folder (2 pocket, green), composition notebook (journal), colored pencils (to be kept in class), tiny bottle of liquid glue (not stick)

     

    Art 6- pencils, erasers, lined paper and a folder, handheld pencil sharpener

     

    Music 6- recorder, pencil, folder

     

    Band 6- Pencil, Your instrument, Essential Elements for Band, book 1 (specific to your instrument), You will be provided with several pieces of sheet music and a band folder from the school. 

    Woodwind players: your own 2.5 or 3 strength reeds, minimum number of 3 (box of 10 is ideal, Rico Royal is ideal!) 

    Brass players: your own bottle of valve oil, Al Cass or any brand; or jar of slide cream & little spray bottle (trombone)

    Percussion players: stick bag & 1 pair of each of your own drum sticks, rubber mallets, and timpani mallets 

    Guitar players: your own picks, and also please purchase EE oboe book, as guitar book does not follow band method

    Electric bass players:  your own 12 foot cord to plug in to the amp

    1-      9“ x 44/45” strip for the pillowcase border (cotton or muslin)

    If you are unable to go to the store or are unfamiliar with the supply list, you are more than welcome to send $6.00 to school with your child and I would be happy to get the materials
